New Member Information

Welcome to Local 4-200! 

We have been present here in New Brunswick for nearly 50 years, first chartered in February 1978 while the hospital was named Middlesex General Hospital. We are a part of the very foundation that Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital's New Brunswick Campus is built upon. Our charter is with the United Steelworkers, a proudly democratic labor organization that ensures that all members have the opportunity to participate equally in decision making and running the organization. 

As members of Local 4-200 you have contractual rights that must be honored by management. They have been bargained for and voted on by members like YOU. Everyone engaging with the union is playing an important part. Asking questions, speaking up for your rights, and bringing issues to the attention of union leadership are all vital acts in creating a strong union. Looking out for your fellow union members brings us all closer together as a community with shared values and interests. An injury to one of us is an injury to all of us.
