Vote will be Sunday July 9th 8a-830p at the Union Office: 1440 How Lane, North Brunswick 08902

&

Monday July 10th 8a-830p at the Hungarian Center, 175 Somerset St, New Brunswick 08901

 

Must Vote in person

 

Vote will consist of a ballot which will have: 2 Choices

Yes – Accept Contract

              No – Authorize Strike

ONLY One Choice

 

If 50% Plus 1 Accept the Contract. The contract goes into affect immediately.

If 50 % PLUS 1 vote Yes to authorize a Strike, the hospital will be served a 10 day notice on Tuesday July 11th. At that point we will tell you when the strike will begin & further action plans.

 

You are encouraged to File for Unemployment Immediately

Your medical insurance will be covered until the end of the month. On Tuesday July 11th we will know if it will be covered longer. In the chance it is not, USW has Strike Insurance Plan that will cover you and your family at a minimal cost. More will be explained at the meetings.

 

You should be expected to come to the Picket line and join comitlers for the union

 

We have heard about staffing all year long. Every unit is affected by staffing. The hospital spent 58 million dollars on travelers, that money should go to our Nurses. We continue to have 122 travelers in the hospital. Time to Take Our Hospital Back!!

No Decrease in Pay for Benefits

No Retention Bonus

No Increase in Call

No Uniform Allowance for 0.8  & Below

 

 

The results of the vote will be known at approximately 10pm July 10th. If it is a YES vote all is the same. If it is a NO and STRIKE Authorization know that the negoticating team is ready, willing, and able to meet with the Hospital at anytime if called back.

 

You will not lose your seniority if you Strike. New nurses will be covered/protected. Your benefit bank will be protected
